Intelligent Building and Cross Automation Between Systems

We have been building intelligent buildings since the early 2000s, but how intelligent are our buildings? Why intelligent? What does it take to make it more intelligent? We inform our customers by asking these questions frequently.

Many systems operate particularly in high-rise buildings. These systems communicate with services such as BACnet, zigbee, bluetooth, Web etc. for many years. With the innovative applications of IoT, the management of your devices and data is becoming simpler day by day. Thanks to the cloud-based solutions, it has become easier to manage all facilities with the advanced visualization. The more intelligent your building is, the more you start to intuitively manage all your systems, equipment, sensors and all kinds of expense items. This creates a synergy that ensures benefits and comfort for people and the building itself, and allows for the automation of many outputs. Energy can be monitored and managed better.

A wide range of benefits are provided at many facilities installed by us. To explain with a simple example, I would like to talk about the international project of a brand that we represent. When I listened to the incident that they told us about when we first met, I learned about the unexpected benefits of Intelligent Buildings. In a facility where all systems are integrated with each other, hardware information was transmitted from the systems to the center. Although no alarm was triggered by the elevator system, an abnormal alarm was received from the Upper Integration Software. The elevator was called to the ground floor, but nobody would use it and press any floor button. When the elevator was inspected, it was observed that the interior part of the elevator was dirty and therefore, people refrained from using it. If there was no central authority in the facility where dozens of systems are installed, it would be impossible to respond to this alarm quickly. Ever since I heard about this simple but effective incident, I have been designing intelligent buildings with an inter-system approach in terms of benefits. In similar incidents, we schedule the nearest camera to inspect this area and if necessary, the technical personnel to move to the relevant area and report their observations visually and in writing.

Elevator Management in Smart Buildings

The biggest benefit in intelligent buildings is that it achieves "Cross Automation Between Systems" by offering a combination of different systems and information. The management of the entire facility through a single software interface also allows for easy training of the personnel. Instead of learning the unique settings, buttons, passwords, etc. of each system, teaching a single software ensures saving in time and money and more trained personnel.
