Non-Destructive Fire Extinguishing Solutions in Data Centers

The fire detection and extinguishing solutions with the least damage, even without damage, of data centers are of great importance due to the lack of data loss tolerance of data centers.

Different Extinguishing Methods are Preferable

Water Mist Extinguishing Methods, although the investment cost is high as a developing technology, can be preferred due to their lack of electrical conductivity and high cooling effect.

It is accepted because there is no permanent negative effect on the gas extinguishing methods applied by using the oxygen reduction method and the initial investment costs are relatively lower.

CO2 Gas extinguishing systems are not preferred because there is a possibility of human presence under the operating conditions in the Data Centers. FM200 or Novec type systems are more preferred.

However, let us remind again that early detection is as important as the design of the extinguishing system.
