Role of EEC

EEC created a Fire Detection and Alarm System solution in the Denizli Nexans Factory project. The Siemens Cerberus PRO Fire Detection Systems, SecuriRAS ASD Active aspirating smoke detectors and Protectowire digital temperature detection cables were chosen. With the solutions we presented, all relevant applications were implemented by taking the requirements of the facility and the characteristics arising from the process into consideration.

Technical Approach

The Siemens Fire Detection and Alarm System constitutes the main framework of the Fire Alarm System. A panel design that can ensure the control of 8 loops was made at the control point. There is a repeat panel in the security room. There are approximately 290 detectors and 50 internal fire alarm call-points within the facility. In the areas of the facility where the ceiling height is high, the ambient conditions are tough and smoke detection is impossible with the conventional methods; 3 ASD active aspirating smoke detectors were used for early detection. There are flame detectors in the areas subject to the risk of explosion. Interactive ex-proof combined detectors were used in the ex-proof areas. In the areas of the factory where smoke detection is impossible, Protectowire digital temperature detection cables were used and integrated into the fire detection system.
