Baku Olympic Stadium

Funded by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the construction of Baku Olympic Stadium started in 2013. Completed in a short period of 24 months, the Olympic stadium cost approximately 640 million Dollars.

Situated in Azerbaijan's capital Baku, in a 496,000 square meter area near the Boyukshor Lake, Baku Olympic Stadium has a capacity of 68,000 people. In addition to general usage, the 204,000 square meter stadium consists of commercial spaces, CIP, VIP and VVIP areas allocated to the disabled, press and private use.

An important building for Azerbaijan, the Baku Olympic Stadium hosted the 1st European Games and held the critically acclaimed opening and closing ceremonies.
