Your CCTV System in 20 Questions

The characteristics of the CCTV Systems and security cameras vary depending on the installation facility or building. When determining the system we recommend for you, we ask some questions in order to understand your needs correctly. This guides us both in choosing the right system components (such as cameras and NVRs) and in determining your integration requirements.

  1. What is the purpose of having a CCTV system installed in your building?

This is a question that every enterprise should answer when installing or renewing a CCTV system. Certain purposes could be as follows:

  • Incident detection and prevention
  • Disaster and emergency management
  • Not leaving the initiative to humans as far as possible
  • Criminal evidence determination
  • Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Building Management Systems (BYS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Integration with other systems such as lighting integration, energy automation, etc.

  1. Is image analysis required?

In order to avoid unnecessary investment or lack of performance, it is decided whether there will be an analysis feature when choosing a video management system. The systems that can perform analysis automatically detect the hazard and send a pre-alarm to the operator. However, it may not be necessary to have a video analysis feature in every system.
